Winter River uses an inky colour palette with deep, cool hues of blacks and blues – this is something that is reoccurring throughout Bloomfield’s pieces.

Tiny stark figures wander through the immensity of the landscapes and at first appear insignificant at first glance – but once acknowledged, their presence is more colossal than the mountains behind them – a powerful notion alluding to the human condition.
